Most kids have helmets, but very few are wearing them correctly. If you don't know what the two finger rule is then there is a good chance you child's helmet is not protecting them as much as it could. Luckily the Bike Coalition's  Safe Routes to Schools team are trained helmet-fitters and are more than willing to help you or junior adjust your helmet strap properly.

Low cost helmets will be available too. An $8 suggested donation is welcomed.

KIDical Mass is a fun and safe bike ride for kids AND their families to learn about safe cycling. KIDical Mass is designed to educate bike-curious parents about safe bicycling with children, teach kids to ride safely in the city, encourage biking to school, and to increase the visibility of families biking on Sonoma County streets.

This 2 mile ride* will meet after the Bike Rodeo ends and includes a stop for popsicles in the park. Bike trailers and kids in bike seats encouraged! As long as you have a helmet on your head you are welcome to ride.

Families ride together as a group and we ask that kids do not race ahead. All kids need an adult accompanying them in order to ride.

BRING : your helmet (it's the law!), your family, a bell, a decorated bike, and a smile!

We will supply: Ride leaders, a safety talk, ABC safety checks, ride waivers, cookies (for kids), music

*Not quite ready for a 2 mile ride because a member of your family is on a push biker? Join us for a "victory lap" around the expo before the group sets off for the rest of the ride. This is the perfect time to feel the love of the cheering crowd.

Tommy and the famous bike mobile are rolling into town to fix kids bike for FREE. We discovered that up to 50% of Sonoma County students do not ride their bikes because they are not functional, often due to minor problems such as flat tires and worn out brakes. Since many students don’t have access to professional bike repair because of geographic or financial limitations, we decided to bring the bike repair to them.
